“Women Navigating the Future”, held at the Port of Cartagena, brought together leading women from the Murcia Region holding executive positions in international companies to share their insights on leadership, sustainability, and technological transformation. SAES was represented by Sara Garc\u00eda, Director of Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability, who <\/span>participated<\/span> in an interview during the event, along with the company\u2019s CEO, C\u00e9sar Solano.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Yesterday, the Port of Cartagena became the focal point for female leadership and business innovation with the hosting of \u201cWomen Navigating the Future,\u201d an event that assembled eminent figures such as Encarna Pi\u00f1ero, CEO of Grupo Pi\u00f1ero; Elena Gonz\u00e1lez-Blanco, Head of AI at Microsoft for Spain, the Middle East and Africa; Anabel D\u00edaz, Vice President of Uber for Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Sara Garc\u00eda, Director of Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability at SAES<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The event was officially opened by Pedro Pablo Hern\u00e1ndez, President of the Port Authority of Cartagena, who emphasised the importance of highlighting female talent and positioning Cartagena as a port with a future not only in maritime terms but also in business and social realms. <\/p>\n\n

During her interview, Sara Garc\u00eda highlighted SAES\u2019s commitment to technological transformation and sustainability within the defence and security sectors, stressing the critical role of collaboration and talent as drivers of change:<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cWe face technological and strategic challenges that require us to protect both marine biodiversity and critical infrastructure that underpins our wellbeing, such as submarine cables. However, the greatest challenge lies in managing change and people. These challenges can only be overcome with the right attitude, teamwork, and strong partnerships with companies and institutions. At SAES, we believe that female leadership is key to fostering innovation and competitiveness in our industry,\u201d Garc\u00eda stated. <\/p>\n\n

The event featured a panel discussion focusing on the keys to shaping tomorrow, covering topics such as ethics in artificial intelligence, sustainability as a competitive advantage, and managing diverse teams in a globalised environment. Additionally, awards were presented to Encarna Pi\u00f1ero, Elena Gonz\u00e1lez-Blanco, and Anabel D\u00edaz in recognition of their outstanding careers and social contributions. <\/p>\n\n

The event was closed by Noelia Arroyo, Mayor of Cartagena, who thanked all participants for attending and highlighted the city as a birthplace of entrepreneurs and business leaders driving progress. <\/p>\n\n
