SAES is participating at DX Korea 2016 (8C-11) to promote their products and services in Northeast Asia, region where new solutions for protection and security of coasts have an increasing demand.

SAES at DXKorea 2016

SAES – S.A. Electrónica submarina, specialist in Underwater Electronics, participates with a stand (8C-11) at the Defense Expo (DX) Korea, which is being held from 7 to 10 September in the KINTEX exhibition centre in Goyang city.

SAES, the company leader in Spain in underwater acoustics and electronics, has arranged meetings with the country’s authorities involved in the naval submarine industry to provide the most advanced technology in multiple areas: Sonar Systems, ASW, Sonobuoy Processing, Signature Intelligence, Multi-influence Naval Mines, Maritime and Coast Security and Simulation among other services.

Anti-submarine Warfare

For Antisubmarine Warfare, the SPAS family (Sonobuoy Acoustic Processing systems – SPAS) – capable of to process the most advanced analog and digital sonobuoys and available for installation in surface vessels, MPA and Helo – has aroused a great interest in the region. “Also, we would like to promote our equipment’s for mission support and acoustic intelligence (FTAS – Fast Time Analyzer, SICLA – Classification System, TAT – Tactical Acoustic Trainer, simulators…)  as well as to introduce one to the latest developments, the ROASW – Remote Operation ASW System” said from the company.

ROASW is a new Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) solution that provides a unique and fully integrated ship/air weapon system, initially designed to enhance and extend the ship acoustic sensors. The ROASW system receives, controls and monitories remotely the acoustic and tactical information from deployed resources as well as ground

Mine Warfare

For Mine Warfare, the company manufactures the Multi-influence Naval Mines (MINEA) more advanced currently. The MINEA family consist of different kinds of naval mines (moored, cylindrical bottom and shallow water mines) available both combat and exercise versions. Moreover, SAES also provides Limpet Naval Mines that, equally in combat and exercise versions, are at the forefront of the market.

Furthermore, the SAES knowledge in Signature Intelligence achieved during more than 25 years of experience, lets them offer advanced systems to measurement of acoustic, magnetic, electrical, seismic and pressure influences coming from surface vessels and submarines, always adapting to the customer needs. MIRS – Multi-influence Range System o DEWARS – Deep Water Acoustic Range System are two of their principal products in this area.

SONAR Systems

Sonar Products area will be specially promoted together to other systems designed to integrate into the combat systems of submarines and surface platforms as Acoustic Classification system (SICLA), the Undersea Acoustic Performance Prediction System (SEAPROF) and Own Noise Monitoring System (ONMS).

Furthermore, in the sonar area but specially indicated for the coast surveillance and protection, SAES also will expose the Intruder Detection Sonar – DDS-03 (Diver Detection Sonar).

DDS-03 is a frequency active sonar specially designed for the detection of divers and underwater vehicles both manned and unmanned (SDV, ROV or UUV), and focused to improve the maritime surveillance systems since it can be integrated in any security system besides the stand alone function.

DDS-03 sonar constitutes the last generation of the SAES DDS sonars, which have been successfully verified and validated in a wide variety of operational environments as deployment from vessels and in harbour, presence of closed and open circuit divers, presence of swimmers, tidal effect exposure, etc.

SAES also provides advanced technology in other naval areas:

·         Maritime Security. SAES develops systems to protect critical infrastructures such as ports, drilling platforms or wrecks and also for environmental protection.

·         Simulation and Training. Tactical simulator for submarines. Sonar Simulator/Stimulator. Training systems for acoustic operators.

·         SAES services: Engineering services, verification and testing systems, maintenance, aftersales support, education and training.
