SAES attended the event to establish contacts with Algeria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Sudan, Jordan and Morocco, represented by their ambassadors in Spain at the meeting.
The meeting was organized by the Andalusian Agency for Foreign Promotion “Extenda”, in collaboration with the foundation Three Cultures of the Mediterranean, to promote institutional links between Andalusia and the Arab countries.
The regional government minister of Economy and Knowledge, Antonio Ramírez de Arellano, was in charge of inaugurating the business meeting with the Council of Arab Ambassadors, held in Seville on Tuesday, April 24. The meeting’s objective was to promote foreign trade between 16 Arab countries and about fifty Andalusian companies that develop export activity. This conference supported the collaboration and commercial exchanges between the companies and a greater knowledge of the economic reality of the two areas.
Business transactions between Andalusia and the countries of the so-called Arab League have grown by 30% between 2009 and 2017, to stand at 9.637 million euros during the past year, as highlighted by the Minister of Economy.
