The championship, which was attended by 80 golfers, is supported by SAES since 2009.
The XXXIII Golf Navy Championship, which took place at the Golf Layos (Toledo) between 25 and 26 April 2014, had the participation of 80 golfers who came from different Spanish cities.
Participants were divided into three categories according to their handicaps, playing in the form of stable ford Handicap. The champion of the Navy was established by the best result “scratch” within the game mode programmed (stable ford scratch). D. Alejandro Salmeron Vaca, Corporal of Spanish Marines, won first place in the final classification Scratch.
The closing ceremony was chaired by the Hon. Mr. Chief of Staff Admiral Jose Antonio Ruesta Botella, with the assistance of various civil and military authorities, and the representation of collaborating companies, as SAES, on whose behalf attended by President Alfredo Gordo.
SAES, who sponsored the championship since 2009, supported once again the values inherent in sport, such as commitment, respect, patience, fair play, fellowship and effort. In a golf tournament the fact that the rival was oneself is an important psychological factor, being a constant struggle to achieve excellence in the tee, approach or putt.
