SAES presents the anti-submarine warfare systems to the Canadian and American aerospace sector

The presentation takes place as part of the trade mission to Canada and USA held this week and leaded by Extenda – trade promotion agency of Andalusia.

The aerospace-sector trade mission organized by Extenda and held between the 23th and 30th of March, has allowed to 19 companies to obtain first-hand knowledge of the Canadian and USA aerospace sector and to establish business opportunities.

The work agenda for this trade mission have included meetings with Canadian institutions dedicated to strengthening the aeronautics sector, the Aero Montreal group and Bombardier, one of the world’s main manufacturers of airplanes and trains. Furthermore, in Seattle a meeting with the Washington aerospace cluster was held, where the 19 Spanish companies presented their capabilities. The seminar also hosted dozens of B2B meetings in order to establish future projects and collaboration opportunities. In addition, the mission included a visit to Boeing Facilities in Everett.

SAES shows its technological capabilities and air-bore ASW products to major USA and Canada companies in the sector

The aeronautical industry is one of sectors where the high technology is more demanded, representing an opportunity for SAES, capable to offer innovative ASW solutions for aircrafts and unmanned aerial vehicles.

SAES, during this trade mission, has showed its technological capabilities and air-borne ASW products specifically the ROASW (Remote Operation ASW System) and the SPAS (Sonobuoy Processing Acoustic System).

The ROASW system, based on acoustic sonobuoys processing, allows the exchange of information between multiple platforms (surface ships as frigates or corvettes, helicopters, UAVs, …) the centralized management and the rapid making decisions.

Installed onboard of manned/unmanned air vehicle, the system allow them to receive via data relay (STANAG 7085 compliance) the acoustic and tactical information from sensors (passive, active and digital). Also, other non-acoustic information like Radar and EO can be received. Additionally, the ROASW system is able to collaborate in a Network Centric Warfare (NCW), essential in new ASW/ASuW mission.

SPAS systems is other SAES system that covers completely the new requirements of ASW missions.

The system SPAS detects, localizes and tracks submarines and surface ships based on analysis of acoustic signals acquired by deployed passive and active sonobuoys both analog and digital versions.

SAES delivers a complete ASW solution System; SPAS is integrated with other equipments as a Digital Recorder (DR), Digital Sonobuoy Receiver (SDSR), Preamplifier/s, V/UHF Transceiver, Directional Finder, Sonobuoy Launcher, etc… conforming a complete Sonobuoy Processing Acoustic System.
